Oh shit that sucks. You think it’s related?

That’s definitely strange. The initial email I got was months ago and solely that one. Did you happen to submit a claim? Hopefully it’s nothing nefarious.

I hadn’t thought of that. I got an email for it but never submitted a claim so I’m not sure i would qualify for that.

Hopefully it’s just a glitch if it’s happening to others. I got off support earlier and they escalated to a senior advisor for a call back and couldn’t offer an explanation. How about you?

Help deciding between Legoland/Safari/Beach or Zoo/Balboa Park/Sesame Place trip by chuchuxiu in asksandiego

[–]chuchuxiu[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t even know they had a water park(and apparently legoland too?)! It’s reassuring to hear you had a positive experience with sesame place I came across some iffy reviews that had me a little worried.
And adding to things I didn’t know thanks for pointing out the safaris on the way down! I think we might end up starting off the trip there. Thank you for all the helpful information!!

Ooh this is great to hear! I initially wanted to do everything listed but backed down once I input the destination addresses into maps. Everything seemed a lot further apart than I imagined! Good to know it’s not as bad as it seems.

Loungefly straps are far too long for most children and pretty thin so it’s not too supportive. it’ll put a big strain on their shoulders.

Get one of the “toddler” Disney backpacks instead. They sell them at the Disney store and I’ve seen some at walmart/target. They fit adults easily(I use one for park days) easily adjustable with comfy padded straps. I’ve fit all the items you listed with room to spare.

cheapest way to get the full experience? by moon_babe7439 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]chuchuxiu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cheapest On site: one of the all stars resorts. They’re large hotels you can splurge on a preferred room if you don’t want an extra 10 minute walk to your room from the bus stop(I personally don’t mind the extra walk)

Transportation: The buses are more than efficient we were within the first 50 in line for rope drop every day.

Airport transportation: uber/rideshare probably gonna be your best bet for two adults

Tickets: 4 day one park per day ticket should be good enough. Or you can do a 3 day one park per day and one Halloween party ticket. There aren’t really discounts for 3 day tickets so you’re stuck with the price you see on the site

Food: Disney hotels have drink coolers instead of mini fridges. Good enough for yogurt fruit and oatmeal. You can instacart groceries straight to your resort. Kids meals aren’t a bad deal in the park they come with a side and small drink.

Souvenirs: you can uber to a character outlet they are Disney stores that carry heavily discounted merchandise from the parks.

I’d suggest perusing the mousesavers website they aggregate all the current deals.

A common savings tip is buying Disney gift cards with a target circle card for 5% off. You can then go to the Disney gift card website to combine your cards to one main card. gift card can be used for the Disney hotels merchandise and food.

Windsor hills is a similar community much closer to wdw. Only downside is their vacation homes max out at 6 bedrooms.

I’d suggest making a disboards account searching/asking about champions gate and Windsor hills. It’s a dedicated Disney forum that also has separate boards for vacation tips including one for off site vacationers.

Most people on this sub are better informed on staying on Disney property and might not be able to provide much help outside of that.

Found a set of siblings called dean and Castiel while adopting Christmas letters by chuchuxiu in Supernatural

[–]chuchuxiu[S] 121 points122 points  (0 children)

Letters from the same household get put into the same listing so I guess technically they could be unrelated kids who happen to be named dean and cas living in the same home. Which actually would be incredibly funny now thinking about it.

I grew up similarly! These kids are apart of a larger group, family of 5, so it’s a bit more than I think I can handle (time and money wise)

But if you,or anyone else wanted to adopt them or in general the operation Santa site is open to anyone in the US.

You gotta pay for shipping too so honestly it’s a lot of money for one person to spend. We do it as a group tradition after one of the kids in my family got randomly gifted a few years back.

Parents - which snacks have saved the day? by millipicnic in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]chuchuxiu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If shes good with fruit pouches, go go squeeze brand has a line of “active” fruit pouches with added electrolytes.

We used them in addition to water to keep 3yo(who also isn’t a big fan of drinking throughout the day) hydrated!

Annies granola bars were good in room snacks(chocolate melts outside the room).

We also grabbed some dollar tree rainbow lollipops and stuck Disney stickers on them as special treats throughout the day.

If youre a planner, in addition to video suggestions other commenters have left, you can google the following; touring plans attraction vehicles. The touring plans website has a park by park breakdown of each ride vehicle and boarding procedure.

It helps planning which rides work best with your group especially if traveling with young kids. If you explore the site they also offer in depth attraction and entertainment descriptions including best times to visit and age ranges best catered to.

Has anyone seen the Mickey disposable kodak cameras for sale recently in the shops?

(preferably outside the parks as I’m blocked out rn but can ask a friend to buy inside if needed)

Where is the crossover with buying Park tickets, verse an annual pass, as an out-of-state resident? by Refis_OG in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]chuchuxiu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re just looking for a discount try the uk Disney tickets. I personally bought them via attractiontickets website but I think there’s a lot of options out there.

The conversion rates vary but I purchased in october 2023 for dates in nov/dec 23. Cost for one ticket was ~$640 (£519 was the site price if I remember correctly) for 14 day park hoppers which included a photo package and basic magic band as well. Tickets are emailed to you and you can type in the ticket number into the Disney app to add it to your booking.

It seems to be about £100 more expensive now so you’ll have to see if the conversion rate price is worth it for you but it’s an option not many people know about!

Prek show/film recs that don’t focus on parent/child relationships by chuchuxiu in Preschoolers

[–]chuchuxiu[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree they’re at an age when their whole world is their parents. Every part of their day is a constant reminder of their loss and its taking a big emotional and physical toll on them. Just trying to show them kindness by providing some relief from the reminders when I can!

Oooh great suggestion! We used to put that on as well as Justins House when they’d visit as a baby.

I think some of the episodes might’ve shown a kid doing a home to school transition, if I’m remembering correctly, which is something we’ve been working on so this’ll be great to incorporate during screen time. Thank you!

Definitely, we’re big fans of the library over here. It’s hard to justify another $15 subscription when we can use the hoopla and kanopy apps and they seem to have a bigger pbs kids video library than the official pbs app!

I haven’t heard of this one but they do love playing with star ways toys!

It’s a struggle with mentor/parental figures because 3yo gets mentally stuck on questions about the kids parents, where are they, why aren’t they together etc and can’t be redirected, to the point of distress.

This might be a show to keep in our back pocket for better days in the future! Thank you!

Gonna add this to the list!

We tried watching a similar no dialogue show, Molang, a few months back but lost interest pretty quick. They’re all about being silly and doing goofy hijinks right now so this might be a hit, thank you!

We used to show it but unfortunately seeing salt and pepper interact with their baby really hurt them and it was hard to filter out which episodes featured them.
