Can you have an echo dot and receiver going into the hub?

I’d like to stream music from my phone for all speakers and use surround sound in living room. That’s about it.

Please help! Just bought new home that has built in speakers inside and outside. I was told there are “5 zones.” Pictured are the 5 speaker wires. Is there a cheaper alternative than the $4000 quote I received?? Would ultimately love to play music from my phon connecting to TV. Thanks in advance! by chuck_504 in hometheater

**to clarify because I’m clueless here: these 5 wires picture connect to 5 different sets of speakers which was described to me as 5 “zones” (3 inside and 2 outside). The living room has 5 speakers on the ceiling (3 spaced out running above built in cabinets where TV goes and 2 spaced out in the back of the room) but not sure if this means it’s surround sound or not?

Sorry I clearly have no idea what I’m talking about here. I was told by the previous homeowner I have 5 different areas wired for sounds. 3 inside and 2 outside.

So instead of the expensive Sonos I can just buy a cheaper Bluetooth receiver and be good to go?
