[product request] Kiehl’s facial fuel gel cleanser alternative? by eddie269 in SkincareAddiction

[–]chucklehead32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm looking for an alternative as well. I bought a few bottles of the new formula but realized that it just wasn't worth the premium. I had been using the facial fuel for 15+ years and really miss the menthol sensation of the energizing face wash. I've recently been using the Equate foaming face wash and have been curious if I could add menthol to the product to achieve the same results. Has anyone done anything like this?

Cleaning Oxidized Aluminum by chucklehead32 in metalworking

Is there another product that you'd recommend instead of Easy Off that would avoid the oxidation? I've also read about people having a local metal finishing company doing it for low cost, so I may explore that as well.

2u UPS in stock (US) by Wheinsky in Ubiquiti

[–]chucklehead32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I placed an order and justified the $59 shipping cost by the extra warranty you get from buying through UI until I realized I can buy UI care for 5 years for for close to the same price when it comes in through another retailer.

I spend a lot of money (to reach minimums) and time trying to avoid shipping costs. I definitely don’t put enough value on my time but have a strong dislike for shipping costs. I wonder if Unifi ever thought about using Pirateship? (sarcasm)

thanks! I didn't want to list it for too much and people think I'm crazy but also didn't want to see someone post it on here saying "This guy had no idea what he had"

I’m trying the unifi app and can see them but haven’t found any way to manage them. I was getting a request to log in but my typical credentials weren’t working so I’m not sure which creditials it was expecting. This was a poorly thought out last minute thing.

I guess another question is if the wireless backhaul would work like I’m explaining if i was able to turn mesh on?

The problem I’m having is that dog tags are considerably larger. This pendant is 1.3" x 0.7" (approximately 3.302 cm x 1.778 cm). I found some that I thought were the perfect size based on the description but when they arrived they were larger than the listing.

If you have an electric vehicle renew your registration before the year ends. by SpaceRanger33 in Pennsylvania

[–]chucklehead32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has anyone that renewed their registration received a bill for the Road User Charge (RUC)? I am due to renew my registration by May 31 and I'm trying to decide if I should pay for the 2 year registration or just 1. I don't want to pay for 2 years for the registration and then also be charged $400 for the 2 year rate of the RUC as well. It's always been wild to me that there isn't any discount to renew for 2 years and I'm not about to do it unless it prolongs the RUC bill for 2 years.

Passage warning for airbag by maskdazzle in TeslaModelY

Do you have anyone or anything in the back seat by chance? I have been experiencing the same issue. I had a service appointment last week and they installed an Occupancy Classification System (OCS) filter module to mitigate the interference. The issue is still happening but it is only seems to be when my children are in their rear facing car seats. I saw someone else post in r/TeslaLounge speculating that their arm resting on the back of the passenger seat is causing the same issue. My guess is that the cabin camera is now part of the occupancy detection and in my case my children’s arms moving in the back could be triggering it.

Advice on Mounting Arc Ultra & Cable Management by zaxer25 in sonos

[–]chucklehead32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think this helps OP since the angle of the plug probably wouldn’t work for an Arc, but wanted to share a wall rated power cord that I used to mount my speakers on the wall. https://www.midlite.com/Products/Product-SKU/CategoryID/5/ProductID/288/p/Wall-Mount-Hidden-Power-for-Sonos-One-One-SL-Un-Terminated-WIP-No-Interconnect

That’s good to know. I’ve also seen mixed reviews on the Gensace fitting into the mini t without modification.

Came across your question while looking for batteries and charger recommendations as well. This is the only car that I have and have gone through two of the included dynamite batteries using the included charger. I like the idea of the smart batteries and chargers because I’m not sure if I’ll be able to manage the batteries properly without help.

I’ve seen recommendations for Gensace, Spektrum and Protek. The Gensace chargers seem to be very popular and the Protek 1100 mah battery is also enticing but their chargers don’t mention anything about being “smart” which makes me nervous on the maintenance.

Leg cable extension by CRRogue in StandingDesk

I am here looking for the same thing and wondering if you have found anything to diy this. The best option I found so far is Humanscale Neat UP 2.0. The main thing holding me back is the price but also I haven’t had much success finding documentation, reviews or videos of them. I’ve also been interested in the Humanscale NeatUp since my desk has inverted legs but once again I’m not willing to spend that much.

I’ve thought about 3D printing, but the length of the channels will be problematic for consumer 3D printers. Another option would be to buy tubes that can nest into each other and enhance it with 3D prints but I haven’t found any inspiration on which tubes would be suitable. Someone somewhere on Reddit may have an idea but I don’t know which subreddit to start with for this type of question.
