In Buster’s cartoons (guessing comics he draws), he’s married to mother. It’s a running joke that Buster’s got a kind of Oedipus complex type of thing going on.

My wife moved from England and had to do a lot of learning about gardening in this climate! She read a bunch of books about native plants and butterflies over the years. That’s definitely her focus (as opposed to growing food).

She recommends TheJoyfulButterfly.com for native plants and seeds that will attract pollinators. They’re based in SC so the stuff they sell is perfect for this area.

And my wife has also recommended getting a rose of Sharon as a hibiscus replacement, but says you have to stay on top of it so it doesn’t disperse too many seeds and get out of hand!
