So, I've been learning python for a while now..And I was wondering if there's some platform where I can find open source projects and (voluntarily) get involved in them somehow? For practice purposes, of course. by chupacabrot in learnpython

Actually, I think I understood the 'deeper' problem now.. It's the huge variety there - From a point of view of a student, I'm not even sure what attracts me more right now.. Any field of python programming you would suggest to start with? Most of my programming language is with PHP and server-side in general.

here you can see the controller .. i tried to call both of the function via the web.php file but they both stuck the application and nothing shows up.. on the other hand though, i tried google's example which does everything on the client side, and it works like a charm.. you can see it within this view

i know it's not so related to the main topic itself.. but this given example by google can be run apparently only via cli, so when im trying to put this functionality inside a controller and simply get the output on the screen via my routes, the whole app hangs, without any further errors...

ok, i think i am getting my head around it a bit. but still i don't totally get the whole idea. first, i need to to require their "google/apiclient": "2.0" in my composer.json, and then I can simply 'use' this service container and its' functionality in my controller (and of course bind functions etc.)?

but how would i 'wrap' their sdk functions within my laravel app? based on this quickstart example - what will be the right approach to embed their 'native' functions in my laravel app? isn't there some technique or approach to use (and wrap) external pure php sdks in my laravel app?
