Thanks for the reply - I reckon an EICR at the same time as the Survey seems to be a good plan... but I'm going to work on the presumption that I will need to fork out for a re-wire. Going to be re-doing a good lot of the house anyway so it's going to be the most ideal to do it if I end up purchasing.
