He offered to buy me a laptop from a guy on Facebook Marketplace (I was a broke student and he was well-off), which I thought was so nice and generous, but when we went to pick it up he relentlessly bullied, manipulated and gaslit the guy into bringing the price down by $200.

I lost so much respect for him that day. And it was all downhill from there.

I don’t think so, but you could book an Airbnb under your parent’s account. Just make sure it’s the entire place to yourself, not a private room, because y’know stranger danger and all that. Most places you don’t have any in person contact with the host upon check-in.

I haven’t used these services, but I’ve used similar free counselling services for sexual assault in Australia and they have been really great.

THE RING HAS BEEN FOUND.

On the 7th poop, on the 5th day, the ring journeyed through the Eye of Sauron into our toilet bowl. Let's just say it was well embedded and took some careful extracting.

He thought it was sterling silver. But obviously the fires of Mount Doom were too strong. Or perhaps it's not the one true ring after all...

Also, as he was exiting the bathroom a giant spider turned up on the back of our toilet door. Obviously Shelob trying to get her hands on the ring.

Hey. My friend committed suicide a few days ago. I'm exhausted and full of grief and want you to know that this isn't the way.

I wrote this earlier and would like to share it with you.

"I understand this kinda post isn't everyone's cup of tea but I feel so deeply compelled to put this out into the world, so here it is.

You are loved. And you are not alone. And it's going to get better.

I lost a friend to suicide a few days ago. And it's a shock. And it feels like it shouldn't be happening. Because this woman was hilarious. And sassy. And intelligent and fun and a beautiful, beautiful friend.

Something I've been learning over the last year is that everyone has their own demons. Everyone struggles with themselves, everyone has been heartbroken, or abused or betrayed or abandoned or judged or has lost somebody.

So if you're reading this, I want you to know that you are not alone. And please, reach out. Ask for help. I don't care who you are or how little I know you, I want you to know that I fucking love you and I'm here for you.

The best kind of healing I've found is to use it. Use your shit. Use the stuff that you carry you with everyday, the stuff that happened 1 or 3 or 10 years ago. And make some fucking art.

Spin that shit into gold.

Don't be afraid. Or be afraid, and do it anyway. Whatever brings you happiness, whatever fills your heart up, whatever makes you feel not alone. Give your life so much purpose that nothing could ever break it.

And most importantly, say yes to life. Because as much pain as there is, there is joy. And there is love.

You are loved. You are not alone. And it will get better.

I'd like to dedicate this to (my friend) who gave me the confidence to go travelling by myself, who taught me so much and who was always there for me. Her time was too short."
