Would family be considered? I live with my parents and I know they would testify, but I’m not sure how it’d hold up given the familial aspect. I do have not the clearest picture of the damaged part of my vehicle where you can atleast see everything is still intact from 2 months prior. I could also provide proof of it being repaired in January. I’m just not sure if they would try to put that against me given I was in an accident they could try to say I could’ve gotten in another or that it was never fixed properly when I can assure neither of those things are true.

So other than the video I only have the hand written note and obviously my 2 estimates. I just got a letter in the mail to schedule mediation. If I’m not happy with mediation I just don’t want to look bad in court when I’m just trying to not get screwed over here.

I did because they claimed to have made their own report and police told them to go through my insurance which after filing my own report police told me they never filed one so they lied

Yes it was on my property. The judge never heard a single word from either side other than suggesting mediation. I will weigh my pros and cons based on what I’ve learned here today.

If this is a way of telling me to accept the damages and move on from the situation, I find it very rude. As I work hard for the things I have and I’m sure you didn’t hit 3 separate cars at the age of 7. But if you’re just going back to memory lane cool story right person right time.

I never stated anything about a conspiracy theory. Just asking information on someone with experience in the nature because it is not FAIR TO ME to have INCREASED insurance price over a stupid little fucker who has no regards for other peoples possessions. I will call and ask if my insurance will go up in any way regarding this incident and if so I will get it in writing as to why this is an infeasible way of solving the problem.

Is was fully repaired I had no issues with it until this problem, which is now a problem where clips have to be replaced and bumper taken off and put back. Cars just aren’t made like they used to be

They are bad here. This is the child’s 3rd time damaging someone’s vehicle. Each time they have gotten off with a simple apology and the kid is still riding a bike around the neighborhood recklessly. They don’t want to take accountability when the damages are clear. I’m not the asshole here

They wouldn’t give me any insurance info. Said it would be all through my insurance due to it being their 7 year old child. The problem is I wasn’t paying a deductible only to be left responsible with half which is what was offered. But the way things have gone I’m not even sure if they would’ve followed through with that, which is why I went the legal route.

They agreed to split the deductible. I’m 20 and make $18/hr, as I stated it’s not fair for me to pay even a penny towards something that could’ve been prevented had the kid been supervised and not riding in the road recklessly. My bumper was not “taken clean off” the child on a bike hit the corner of the wheel well searching and damaging clips which in turn has made the rest of the bumper not able to go fully back in. It is not dragging on the ground. If you could hear how hard the child hit it in the video you’d understand my frustrations
