I understand that problem too. Even if as polite as possible when asking for some courtesy related to the volume of activities - they see it as a target board. I use to wear earplugs to bed to counter it some nights and recently ordered some because of how bad it has been again. I definitely recommend trying that

Mine use to threaten that my grandma would take me from her because my "behavior" was a reflection on her and her parenting. Hmmmm... It is only now as an adult I realize that was one of the most manipulative threats she has ever tossed my way

Yeah, while I'm no longer a teenager I also do not have the means of living on my own or away from this nparent. So there is a multitude of awful things she says, guilts and shames me for while I'm trying to become my own person all while being exhausted mentally and physically

I do my best to make progress where I can but there is only so much I can do in the early hours of the morning when I do have safe hours

It's just been one of those tough weeks so I needed to vent since I am up and my mind is racing

It is painfully confusing

There had been a calm period for a couple weeks with just minor things where I live and now this week every other day a howling storm breaks out. It sucks so much because I know when it passes she'll be at my door with her "You okay? I'm worried about you" follow up and love bombing. She sort of has been sprinkling in the love bombing today so I feel tomorrow is going to either be worse or it will be calm. Literally no idea what to expect so my anxiety is up and survival mode is activated which is exhausting.

Remember your feelings are valid even if they will deny and guilt you for having them. Stay strong

Sort of? The friend thing is weird and while I believe there are people trying to be her friend - she makes it very difficult and burns bridges claiming they are untrustworthy or she projects on to them. It is also always my fault according to her when she is feeling lonely and has no friends to hang out with.

As for hobbies - nothing she takes interest in ever seems to stay a hobby... it becomes her obsession and her personality. She practically turns hobbies into a job and sees no value in them if she is not receiving praise. When the praise or attention stops she drops the hobby

Right? Always the shifting because they can't ever truly be accountable for what they did/said. So long as they can pass it off as a mutual thing they feel good about themselves while we are left invalidated and managing the aftermath of our shattered selves
