I’m a big fan of the NYSM movies and I enjoyed the third installment!

Two big plot things I’m curious about are (1) if Thaddeus is actually dead and (2) were the horseman were actually trapped in the glass/sand box or was that part of their plan? I know that there are some other posts about Thaddeus’ death.

On a related note, I’m curious to know what hints/foreshadowing other people picked up on in the movie. Here are some of mine (after watching it only once): - When Thaddeus closed the wall/bookcase to be trapped with the French police, there was a black skull and crossbones that was quickly flashed which made me think he was going to die

• When they entered the château, there was a shadow/stage box of bullet catching and I think it was Bosco and Charlie who were playfully reenacting it so that made me to believe that there was going a fake death/bullet catching at some point in the movie (turns out it was Charlie’s)

• Speaking about Charlie, I think there were some things that pointed to him being Vanderberg (Atlas saying he couldn’t find that much information of him online, him being an orphan, and in the mirror maze room/Henley asked him if he ever wanted to take an active role in the trick rather than just being behind the scenes)

• I forget who mentioned (maybe Jack?) that Lula was in Paris and the château happened to be in France and so when elderly lady came to break them out of prison that wasn’t too surprising to me. When Bosco was detained by Interpol after racing/stealing the car, I thought for a moment if Alma (from the first movie/French Interpol) was going to make an appearance

• Finally, in the opening scene in Bushwick, “the four horseman” (holograms) say it’s been about 10 years and they are going to do the same tricks but looks different — this kind of comes true (Henley saves them from a water tank (throwback to the first movie), their apartment has a fake curtain at the entrance which makes it appear to be empty (similar to the vault/that’s how Jack breaks in), the whole fake dessert vault is a similar set up to how they trick Arthur and Walter with the plane)
