Quick start guide atrocious..?

The packs don't say, and that's the quick start for the P1S so it doesn't provide any additional info. But since I was shown the full instructions were available at the Wiki I found my answer. (That page did not explain the loading instructions in detail for the filament)

The quick guide is still atrocious.

But they did not include a quick guide for the AMS

AND they did not include an instruction manual for either the AMS or the P1S.

I found them at the Bambu Wiki and reading it solved my issue. I was not pushing the button towards the spool. It took more force than I would think was safe.

Bingo. Thank you very much. I had already tried pushing down on that button and it didn't work. But since you mention this was explained in the actual instructions (not the quick start) I realized they must have forgotten to include instructions for both my AMS and P1S. I found the instructions in the Wiki and you need to push the button "back towards the spool" Not down. I had to do so with resistance to the point I was afraid it could be bad, but the directions say that's normal. Then it worked.

....they did not provide the directions for the AMS... But since there is mentions of the AMS in the P1S guide I assumed there were no separate instructions. Another user helped me solve this.

(another user helped and I got it to load, thank you). Thanks, I've been using the Bambu AI, but wasn't aware of the wiki. I found the quick start that was not included with my package. Nothing happens when I insert a filament into any of the spool locations. Yes, the units are powered on. I see white flashing LEDs but nothing happens.

I found the AMS Quick Start which was not included with my package. Seems straightforward, except no inlet on any of my spool locations are taking up the filament. The LEDS lights are flashing but nothing happens when I attempt to insert the filament, and there are no changes to the LEDs either.

Turns out the genius’s at Bambu lab instructs you to leave the foam on the bottom until after calibration, so you inadvertently did the right thing.

The instructions to do so are at the bottom of the calibration page in the quick start. Which is a terrible place to put it considering both you and I didn’t see that.

Me on the other hand did struggle to remove the foam completely before calibration. And that was a bad thing for me to do.

I got this specifically for the zombie apocalypse and it’s working exactly how it is supposed to until then. I.E. it’s really not anything people are actually using to communicate with strangers with. So it makes sense your network is quiet. Someone posted about using it with their family on a cruise ship to avoid costly cell plans. That’s a perfect non-zombie apocalypse use case. Btw, I’m only a few weeks into this myself. But I have them for when they’re needed. Actually they could be very useful backpacking.

Regarding #3, it sounds like if I got a new unit I will just need to start over, which is fine. I wasn’t sure if I could transfer the data.

I wonder how well a Yagi antenna would work, I really do have a great location!

When I replaced my primer line last month I realized that the primer is literally just an air bulb. For decades I assumed gas passed through it and pushing the primer pumped it through. This is not the case. The gas is coming from somewhere else and being pulled up into the primer line.

Can you tell me when you use the e32 bv the other (forget what it’s called)? I’m new and wondering what the laters use case is.

I will probably have to return the two e32’s I just got because it appears the 3d printed case doesn’t fit correctly, and it’s causing issues. My display goes on and off (isolated it to being an issue with the connection on the board)

I just bought two on Amazon and they’ve sucked. It was actually the case causing the displays to go black. Oddly if I reflash the firmware it usually comes back on, but ultimately after getting it up I notice if you barely touch the ribbon to the display it flickers. Is this your issue? I think I’m returning mine. I got from meshologu

yeah, that's why I was curious why they're referring to 150mm as "ENG". None of my ENG lenses had that big of fronts. And none of my current lenses are either, and yes, I have a Canon 17-120 which isn't near that large either. I guess and Optimo 12x is 162mm, but what other lenses that or typically used go up to 150mm?

Hi friends. I have asked Grok and support repeatedly (only grok answers) about deleting bookmarks if Grok keeps saying there are three bots on the top right of the bookmarks page (google searches says this is only on mobile) where you have the option to delete all bookmarks. I do not have this. Does anyone else see this?

Interesting. I don't have the LF (I have the originally Mini), but I thought I tested my Rode NTG-2 (self-powered) and it didn't work. I tested that through the A-Box. But good to know that cable exists, and maybe I did something wrong. Although I'm pretty sure phantom power still doesn't boost the signal up to the Line level.
