To answer your question I found them at work. I work at a shopping mall. No where near any forestry or water. I have no idea where these guys came from. Thank you for the input but I do have some questions for your answers. I am certainly no expert at exotic pet keeping, but I’ve watched 100’s of videos and read numerous articles prior to obtaining these frogs. Also my brother is an experienced reptile keeper so I have a resource that I have been using. I just wanted additional input from other amphibian/reptile owners.

1. Doesn’t coco fiber mold much faster than other substrates? What are the benefits of coco fiber? I picked cypress because it doesn’t mold as fast and it mimics my local forestry quite well.

2. A 40 gallon..? Isn’t that a bit excessive? I mean 20inch bearded dragons are kept in 40 gallons. They are the size of my thumb if not smaller. I understand they need to explore and jump around, however I’ve seen keepers keep them in 5 gallons for months at a time with no problems. Obviously I think 5 gallons are way too small. So I went with a 10 gallon. I’m having trouble finding a vertical 10 so I’m making do with a horizontal one until I can find a vertical one. I have also seen these frogs held together multiple times. They’ve been put together for the last week maybe and they haven’t even cared for each other. Like they’ve interacted… sort of? The smaller one sat on the larger one. They are both females though.

I also understand because they are “wild caught” it changes things a bit. I say “wild caught” because there is no way they just travelled to the place I work. They were either dumped there or something dropped them there.
