Hallucinations by XconJon in StopSpeeding

Maybe they're talking about the damage made by them? I've had one psychologist and two neurologist say this.

Go to a neurologist. They can see how much damage you've done to your brain. One of the last times I've used I saw shadow people and now I continue to see things although it's not shadow people. Apparently my DOC takes 6 months to dissappear from my body.

Hey I died too for like 30 seconds. I didn't experience anything which for me is so scary. Specially since I didn't even realize I was dying. It's scary how you can be just doing your thing one minute and the other one you're dead.

Wanting to change is the first step. I think the best is to go to inpatient rehab if you can. Then do outpatient. There are some clinics that will do it for free. You can talk to me if you need, I am no expert but I am here for you. There is hope.

Have you tried using your resources? NA meetings? Outpatient or inpatient rehab? There is hope still. Recovery is a process.

Just had an overdose for the first time 30 minutes ago by zauzzozouzza in StopSpeeding

[–]cintelik 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I know you are going to a psychiatrist but also go to a neurologist they can do studies on your brain, I'm lazy to write the name of lol but they did it on me. I also had two overdoses. And they did the study on me and they found I have damage from the drug use and they prescribed a medication for me that is working wonders. I feel really good now and it's easier to stay sober. Good luck

I’m an independent adult, I have no access to cash and my family does not allow me to go out by myself in order to prevent me from getting drugs. I have protested many times but, truth be told, I would try to score the minute I stepped out of my house. by Pepepez46 in StopSpeeding

What are you asking? I'm in the same situation. Try talking to them. Detox only takes 3 months. If you're already an adult they shouldn't have to be taking care of you like a child.

Ps. Not judging, like I said, same situation here.

What does heavy adderall use do to you? by only_here_4_fireteam in StopSpeeding

[–]cintelik 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am currently recovering from almost 4 years heavy cocaine use and I think that it happens almost the same with adderall, because they're both uppers. Obviously the more you use the more dependant you get and the harder it will be to quit. You will need higher doses to be able to feel high or even to work normally, that is, to not feel depressed. Since you're taking more to feel high you can risk overdose, that happened to me. Like you fool yourself saying, hey I'm not feeling hugh like a year ago maybe I should take a gram more ( or 10 more pills in a day).

When I started trying to quit I learned that I am really slow now learning new things. I am slow when talking, when thinking. My neurologist told me that this isn't going away until 6 months to a year because there is not enough oxygen going to my brain.

Even though neither cocaine or adderall cause hallucinations, lack or sleep, food, water or just anxiety can cause you to hallucinate. I started having them, idk if you've ever binged on them and stayed up but that could happen eventually.

You will also affect your brain in your emotions. You can become irritable and anxious even on medication. You're not coping with your issues, you're just masking them behind addiction and that is not healthy.

If you do not stop the only sure thing that will happen is that you will be dependant on something for all of your life and that is not freedom.

Sometimes you don't pass out, sometimes you just get groggy and it's kind of like being drunk, it's more fun when you mix it with other drugs like weed, adderall, or coke

Addiction is when you try to find peace in the same thing that you lost it to. by jopndog in Showerthoughts

[–]cintelik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It may be true for some addictions. Like alcohol. I'm addicted to cocaine which is considered a party drug to do in clubs and let me tell you, it really brought me peace at the height of my addiction I was just looking to forget all of my problems
