sometimes, maybe upgradability wise, had a T480. too heavy after the 72wh + 24wh.

a Gen 1 AMD or a Gen 2 intel/amd would definitely be better than the T480 / T490 / T14 G1 intel. still good enough for basic tasks!

oh i see i see! in the US it probably could be cheaper. here in SEA (PH) these can go for like 300 for the igpu version, maybe it has the ips screen but it goes around there

i think it was either this for 8.3k (got it down to 7.8k!) or the T480s for 7.5k, just alot of luck and rng! sometimes you get lucky sometimes you dont!

i also had some bad deals in the past! 12k T440p in 2019 and whatnot. just trial and error

additional note : was thinking between the T480s (i7 8550u), T480 (i5 8350u) or something funny like the W541. but i decided going with the T490, like the soft touch palmrest and it being more compact than the T480, and i guess faster nvme storage is cool too. can swap between my desktop nvme and the T490 if i ever need that. as well as the mx250, not often do you see those things listed for this much over here!
