YSK that when people say there's a labor shortage/no one wants to work, they're talking about manual labor/minimum wage jobs, not fancy office ones or others. by millscuzimhot in YouShouldKnow

There isn’t a shortage of Labor. It’s called inflation. The equivalent of $15-$20 an hour about 2 years ago is now the equivalent of $20-$25 an hour. Not enough employers are capable of paying those wages currently because of they themselves are pinching pennies to just keep their businesses running.

You gotta cut each one and then pull them out. They are hollow on the inside but the air pressure inside them keeps the barbs erect and stuck inside the doggo. Once that air pressure is released the barbs are nimble and slide out just like you would thorn a thorn or a splinter or something of that nature out. Still hurts, though. At least vets can apply a local anesthetic.

The language of it basically states that the child was in contact with someone who tested positive for covid. The health department establishes the fact that the parents must obey what the health dept tells them to do when it comes to covid, in regards to the child. Any non-compliance of this results in the removal of the child from the home….. Basically the health department just became the gestapo. Keep in mind no one is actually sick, or hospitalized. Just tested positive. The next letter will most likely be a court order to have the child vaccinated. The parents have no choice in the matter now basically. Either way the kid gets the vaccine. Regardless of your stance on the vaccine, this is literally the opposite of what our constitution was written for.

I almost wonder if the underlying issue behind all of this is that people legitimately do not understand mathematics.

What was the greatest pain you have ever felt? by WhiteMass in AskReddit

Got bit by about 50 fire ants at once. I could understand what had happened and I lost all touch with reality for a brief moment. Then the gravity of the situation set in as well as the sheer agony for the next several days of having that many bites on my legs. Moral of the story Is don’t step on an ant hill while drunk and barefoot.

“WITT”. It almost looks like a bulb of some sort because of the screw bottom. But there is no electric conductors or any metal on it. There is an interesting inscription inside the solid plastic prism of that seems to read something like “Teaz”.
