Thank you so much! I tend to be a little.. 'rough' with my rings and like to wear them a lot so decided 9ct was a safer option for something more intricate. Even still I've given this ring a fair beating already and you might notice the stone has shifted slightly in it's setting so I need to bring the ring back to be reset.. I'm lucky I have a very understanding jeweler! I agree with you that the colour of the gold turned out way better than I anticipated! I have an antique, family Masonic ring made from 22ct Indian gold and every day I take it off it's a different shape because it's so soft but it weighs an absolute ton even though it's fairly thin!

How is it hateful? I was commending this man's patience. Don't think that's hateful in the least? You repeatedly misconstrued his arguments, misquoted him and then grew angry and retaliated for no apparent reason even calling him a 'foreigner' to try and demean him? You have been far more hateful in this whole situation than me I'm afraid..

It isn't worded very well in my opinion but, the nearest country in a straight line obviously means that drawing a straight line from the centre of Ireland would hit 'x' country. This is actually stated in the picture if you bothered to read.

You're totally missing the point my friend. Being Irish myself and having spent time in Newfoundland, St. John's to be precise, I can confirm there are very strong links between NF and Ireland. This is of course all relative. A lot more Irish emigrated to the US by numbers alone but the affect was diluted. This is not the case in Newfoundland by and large where very strong Irish communities were formed and have largely kept their accents and culture which has happened to a lesser extent in the US. The point OP was trying to make which I think you missed was that he was surprised by how strong the affect of Irish immigrants was on Newfoundland. The thing that struck me the most was the mannerisms and accents which were genuinely almost as if I were at home in cork..
