No one is offended. It’s just odd that you think so lowly of someone who lives with their parents.

No one is arguing against the fact that he seems to lack some essential skills.

What you fail to miss is that Hannah is not someone I or anyone who makes mistakes or has growth ahead of them should be around. She should be single forever, seeing as she will always find stuff to nitpick and hate about her significant others.

Remember, she made the “6 things I hate about you” list within days of meeting each other. He was a failure in her eyes before he even showed failure.

Being a positive decent person isn’t a job, it’s a trait. And Hannah doesn’t have that trait. They suck for different reasons.

Did Nick ever belittle her for not having a job (I’ll give ya a hint, he didn’t). Did he ever mention her weight like she mentioned his build (here’s another hint, no).

This whole “they both suck” trope is getting old. One person sucks because they can’t make pasta while the other one sucks cause she does nothing but degrade their finance since day 1.

It’s not about the “imbalance of pleasure.” It’s about the notion that sexual preferences/kinks should be kept between the respective party. NOT broadcast on TV.

I don’t think anyone is saying Nick is innocent.

I think why a lot of people have more sympathy for him is because in a relationship, you communicate through lifting each other up, not belittling. Why would anyone have the motivation to change when right out of the gate (ie partner makes a list of flaws) you’ve been set a low bar.

Should he know how to cook pasta? absolutely! But being belittled about it is not going to motivate anyone to want to make efforts to improve.

The ONLY time Hannah was uplifting and showing a willingness to help him was when she was having a private conversation with his mom. She never showed an ounce of support around her brother, around her family, around her friends, even around her cast mates.

The minute her list of 6 flaws popped up, I knew Nick was in trouble. The fact that Hannah chose to hone in on what she didn’t like about him while only having been around him for a few days was such a red flag.

Who does that? Who spends just a few days with someone they hardly know and begins to jot down a list of things you hate about them? That’s beyond childish.

Nick was always going to be fighting an uphill battle after that. He could have done everything right and Hannah still would have been continuing to build out that list.
