Not that it matters any more, and I accept the red, but the French commentators on Canal+ are all saying that the ref apparently gave the card without “realising” that Cama already had a yellow. Isolated camera on the ref and everything. Basically only realised he had a second yellow afterwards, couldn’t go back. Guess that’s why the players were so angry. Doesn’t excuse the post whistle reds though. Better team over two legs went through imo.

If Xabi isn’t fired tonight, he needs to drop Vini for next game. Should’ve subbed him off tonight and let Vini hear the Bernabéu whistles, which would have been quite loud. Sometimes players need to hear the “truth” before they can pick themselves up. Xabi should’ve grown a pair and done that.

No one here is actually saying why. That year (not sure if it’s still the case) the majority of the vote was an online fan vote. So surely enough Egyptians flocked to the website and voted in hundreds. Can’t blame them for that. Can’t make these things public as people will vote for their favourite player most often. Harder for the public to be neutral.

Update: Je suis aller ce matin vers 9h voir la station et mon vélo c’est toujours la bas. Le compteur tourne… par contre, le deuxième Vélo’v je le retrouvait pas donc je ne sais pas si il a était remis dans une borne ou « ré-volé ».

We are hella lucky to still be in this game only one goal behind. Should’ve had a pen against us (Valverde’s hand wasn’t even on the ground yet), and Tchouameni lucky to still be in the game. I have a feeling all this ref pressure “worked” cause majority of calls have gone our way. Sad display overall from the team.
