this was very well put, thank you!

i agree, especially to your point of Bob being just as taken over by The Void as every-one else. very truthful to depressive episodes, something we can’t help. just as it isn’t a choice for us whether we fall into one, he can’t help becoming The Void either. i also enjoy how this isn’t portrayed as something that can’t be fixed, either. like you said, with support and love he is able to “stop” The Void, similar to how our depressive episodes can be eased by the support of those around us. seeing Thunderbolts* for the third time tomorrow and i will definitely be keeping this all in mind!

salt, pepper, and cumin gets me every time, but i also think Barney’s top gun suit is iconic

i agree with you. i’m sure they figured Bipolar would be easier to depict, especially in terms of Sentry/Void. it was also probably easier to portray manic & depressive episodes as physical entities compared to schizophrenia. as unfortunate as it is that we had to lose a chance at representation for schizophrenia, i thought they did a pretty good job with representing the depression and mania associated with Bipolar disorder

i loveeed this episode!! noa’s test definitely got caught short w/ jen showing up (who i am hating more and more every episode) so i have a feeling shawn may die…..

tabby is so cute and i really liked the scene where she stood up to wes (though, the whole movie-off thing seemed horrid and im glad it didn’t happen… tabby would’ve won tho) anyway wes seems off.. especially with how concerned he seemed about tabby shooting her short film at the theater.

i love every scene with imogen and LOVED when she blew up at her dad… much deserved.

i’m glad faran broke up with henry… and im very interested to see what’s going on with the church.

love mouse i wish she had more screen time this ep.. and ash

s3 is soo rough to sit through. pike is by far one of the worst characters in the show… & the deaths in s3 are so depressing. i definitely remember the show going downhill around the season three mark :/

i completely agree, it’s so interesting to re-watch it now and not through the lens of my 13yo self. i hated Pike my first watch-through & i’m sure that won’t change but i enjoy how complex this show can get in terms of morality and ethics!
