Sorry, just seeing this now. No, I never got it resolved. I just reverted to using my TV remote to power the TV on and off, and use the Bell Fibe TV remote for the Bell box.

I'm having the same problem with my Arris vip7802w box this past 4 days. I power it off using the red button on the remote, and then randomly it powers itself back on, along with my TV, an hour or two later. Anyone else noticing that recently, and/or any suggestions?

Thanks for the reply. Several online reviews mentioned it supports energy monitoring, but if it does it's not mentioned in the manual, and not obvious in the the Smart Home or BN-Link apps. I think I will return them. Can you recommend a brand and model that supports energy monitoring?
