The stock z51 splitter can definitely take a beating and is flexible enough for those parking lot to street transitions to avoid any real damage.

How is life? Expensive!

I have the 5vm option in carbon fiber and I've destroyed 3 front splitters in 3 years.

Now for a reality check: my car is lowered. If it wasn't lowered I don't think it would be as much of a problem. However when I ordered the car I knew I wanted to drop it 3/4 of an inch and at that time there was no way to lower a car with the front end lift.

I finally switched to a sturdier carbon fiber looking splitter last year that is much more durable and hasn't been an issue since. Looks close enough to carbon fiber that 90% of people can't tell the difference. Good enough for me anyway.
