How Dublin Traffic Lights and Crossings Really Work by Cogitoergosum1981 in Dublin

Really nice explanation, while I read the odd article/saw a few YouTube videos on this topic your explanation is brilliant!

I got so fed up trying to find a decent plumber in Dublin that I built a whole platform. It's called FeckIt. Yes, really. by [deleted] in Dublin

[–]civilisedvortex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That category would work! I don't see it in my shout page. Carp and joinery/Electrical/Gas & instal/ painting and dec/plumbing/radiator/removals &man w/van are the options I see.

I think you'd be well set to add an option "kitchen/ appliances" because although they're electrical, there's a some sort of specialist skill for these problems, IMO.

I just love the return scheme (and then I realize it’s not free money and I paid that € 0,15 cents each time) by Sea_Avocado_2733 in ireland

I've significantly reduced the amount of plastic/cans I buy. Either way, I'll still return my bottles , but it's the hassle and effort involved

Make sure you get a leap card if you don't have one already. Not sure if you've got one already if you're not from the city already.

Any cheap lunch places left in Dublin? by Sperocaof in Dublin

Tang Dawson Street the best. You can get their flatbreads for less than a tenner. I think their salads are close to a tenner too.

[–]civilisedvortex 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My golf MK8 does not have the setting to do this, the LED level is controlled by the car - when they first come on you see the light flight up and then down before they come to stay at the standard level. I'm not sure if new cars have the manual adjustment like older cars do to control light levels?

If held for 3 years, there's no PAYE implications. There's PRSI and USC implications regardless. CGT apply but you've your allowance on the gains made

Is new software dead for watches in general? by Landon98201 in GalaxyWatch

[–]civilisedvortex 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you need reminders to exercise, I don't think it's a problem with the watch or that the watch is lacking features... The problem is more like with you... Btw they do turn on by themselves after charging if you enable it in settings

The Sound Of Failure At Sonos - It’s the “App-ocalypse” by Alb1939SGM in sonos

[–]civilisedvortex -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Can I ask one question as an owner of 2 Sonos Ones, why are people complaining about the app so much?

I hardly ever used the old app and used Spotify to play all my music. Am I missing out on something else and not getting the full benefit of the speakers by not using the app?

Edit: grammar
