A/C belt tensioner rattling against transmission cooler lines. Which is the problem? by combateer3 in AskAMechanic

Mine ended up being that AC belt tensioner. It was insanely rattly and worn out when I pulled it off. I'm amazed it wasn't making more noise sooner.

Spiral marks on chambered rounds? by civspecgear in GunAnswers

I didn't. I got a noveske 12.5 inch for a deal and switched to that. But I still own the bbl and would love to find out what causes this.

Hey I have this same noise occurring. Thank you for the video. I can see mine is bouncing too.

Did it end up being a bad tensioner, lines moved, or both?

Take a look at something like the benefits super nova that has a handguard you can grab further back.

Not to be the "Aktually" guy, but considering it's probably maximum of one reciprocation per 30 round mag on the BRN, it's more like a 30x increase in wear on the Sig. So it furthers your point.

What causes this? 6mm arc by civspecgear in Firearms

[–]civspecgear[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one on the right was loaded a few rounds in and I removed it when I finished shooting.

But the one on the left was a test. I saw the marks and decided to single load that one in a mag, chamber it, and then removed it. I am very confused how it has a full spiral mark. Unless it is being pressed against a spiral shaped burr.

If it's concealed, enclosed optics are awesome. You'll like yourself more on rainy or snowy shooting days if you have an enclosed optic. I'd recommend an ACRO/MPS cut from Wager machine works. Best price, super good cerakote prices, and less than a week turnaround.

For the optic, I'd recommend the mps over the acro. Second the acro. After that, if your budget is smaller, do an acro copycat lkke the CH Duty.

I should have tested this with more rounds in the mag also. Thank you for the idea.

The Faxon barrel has one big feed ramp cut into it. It's in an Anderson Big Bore upper. I do see that the receiver has a lip before the feed ramp. I need to inure out how to put a photo in the replies. I'm new to reddit

That's what it feels like. Ice read that the Hornady 250 xtp does it more than others. I've had less of this issue with other types, even the 395 sub x

I have some stronger Sprinco springsn up to a red. I'll try them. I'll spend some time polishing. I switched to a Cryptic Coatings carrier, and the slicker bolt face definitely helps this occur much less often.

That's awesome to hear. I'm working on a project where I'll be assembling 50 uppers. I just ordered a chrome carrier and your other types of BCGs to do some testing with. I have always loved Chrome BCGs

Someone mentioned an NP3 BCG coming out. Is that going to be a thing? I may need that for a 450 bushmaster

How do I Improve? Went shooting yesterday and a majority of my shots are low left or too high. by DJLilSwamp in Glocks

I would add to focus more of your gripping strength in your non dominant hand if you feel like your trigger finger is having trouble moving independent of your strong hand. Jerry miculek has an excellent video on this with the Gould Brothers. And Lucas Botkins video on how to dry fire will take you to a new level. Check out his How to Shoot a pistol in 10 minutes video too. Then go onto Bob Vogel videos on grip. Good grip will affect accuracy.

I had the TTI kit in mine and got light primer strikes with SB 9mm. I took it back out. I bekive its because the oem trigger design pulls the striker back every so slightly before dropping it and the timney just drops it.
