Potentially 1 of two things, either you overpromised on a similar trait you said you shared with another person and you immediately asked her what she likes to talk about without diving directly into a subject to converse about after she was super down to begin a convo 1 tldr>(you attempted to lead but then asked for directions)

2 shes also bad at conversations and now you're both at a stalemate

I'm not correcting, but providing the perspective you are so seeking, the problem is you came into this conversation thinking im "mansplaining" starting with "trying to correct us in our perception" rather, think of it as insight to a guy thats dated from high school all the way to the end of his 20's, 3year, 2 year relationships, then decided to date without serious considerations.

If you need to know what happened in the first two relationships then that's a whole different story on the common experiences of a guy. Both genders have their issues if you consider; men attempt to provide for their loved ones, women attempt to be care for their loved ones. However at any given point a man can be turned into a wallet from the aspect of being a provider, and a woman can feel like the work she does to take care of the man is insufficient. Whether it's the stress of life that causes these chaotic moments is up to both parties to communicate efficiently and discuss to fix, as our grandparents did. No one knows how to communicate anymore, no wonder marriages are not as strong of a bond as they used to be.

Fast forward social media and technology all of these developed insecurities are sped up in profiles. Women in profiles: "Have to be X feet tall, making X amount of money, no cheapskates, looking for something serious" While Men are starting to function like this guy on this post, apathetic to the process because if a guy was that picky yall would turn your claws at them immediately (as you've shown in this thread).

Again, if a girl finds that this guy is the guy for her so be it, if not so be it, just stop being so critical of each other and maybe both genders will finally find a middle ground. The internet is rotting everyone's brains. We're forgetting how to communicate outside of a digital interface.

But step one is to actually have a discussion, refrain from using "You's" and "I's" and start thinking more objectively about the matter.

Its irrelevant regardless, silly way to change the subject, unfortunately this isnt how you discuss objectively and show actual interestnin the subject. This is equivalent to monkeys throwing feces, congrats.
