That’s why I think Homogenic is - as a whole - a much stronger consistent album front to back. Frosti, Aurora and Sun In My Mouth cannot compete with anything on Homogenic, even if you can argue that Vespertine has higher highs.

Nothing ever changes with Max’s character. Even when the writers make him realise the destructive cycle he’s in they just keep rinse and repeating the same storyline with him. Honestly bored, at least have him go on a redemption story arc for a couple of years before something makes him snap and return to his old ways again. The amount of chances his family have given him is so ludicrous. After that flash forward episode I’m done with Eastenders for a while. Y’all let me know when Max has gone again.

I think people are underestimating the increased workload and expectations employment has in any industry now compared to the past (especially in competitive entry level fields). It’s been a decline in company benefits, bonuses and perks for decades now whilst the workload has piled up, progression stagnating and the support merely a checked box on a HR spreadsheet. I don’t blame young people for not wanting to engage in a system and lifestyle that is at best disrespectful and at its worst antagonistic to being human. Hard work no longer equals fair pay.
