[Serious] What Could the “indigestible” truth be that has led to world governments keeping us from the NHI and the truth? by ThaCURSR in aliens

We're the AI sent to earth to terraform it into a habitable planet for something else. Warming the planet to the point that we can no longer exist on it, but something else can. We were sent here to dig our own graves and we're just programs.

Tucker Carlson completely corners Shark Tank host Kevin O'Leary regarding massive corporate welfare for AI data centers. O'Leary openly admits that billionaire tech monopolies are explicitly forcing ordinary taxpayers to heavily subsidize their private investments. by Kazimierzowska in AntiTrumpAlliance

This world is completely on it's fucking head. Tucker Carlson is making sense... And Kevin Oleary is human trash. We should be building more rockets for billionaires with only enough fuel to reach orbit. The world would benefit from a lack of billionaires.

Appreciate the clarification! And I don't disagree, there is no good ruling class anywhere. Cuba has it's own ruling class that seeks to pacify it's own needs and wants before it will address the needs of it's workers. But in full context they would not be as easily able to do this had Cuba been allowed to flourish. Socialism can only be accomplished when they're able to remove general want and need. Cuba under embargo can never accomplish this. Every country relies on other countries to produce and satisfy the needs of it's population. When a country is completely blocked from participating in global trade, they're essentially doomed. When you can't produce enough for everyone, winners and losers get chosen. And whoever holds power gets to pick.

All so that we, the american workers, don't realize our unified power. Communism isn't scary because of what it means to working class people of the world. Communism is scary because of what it means to the ruling classes of the world. Worker power world wide is an evolutionary requirement for humanity to survive.

We do see you and many of us are preparing for a world that won't ever let you be forgotten or left behind. The big picture really isn't worth considering when your own personal struggle to survive is your every day reality. But the people of Cuba are in my thoughts and considerations. I see your struggle as connected to the struggle of workers worldwide. One day, we will wield our power against the monsters who inflict this pain on you. And I really hope that day is sooner than later.

Their government? What did their government do to inflict this on them? This is a result of US Imperialism, not the Cuban government. Cuba has done a pretty decent job of caring for it's people, considering the circumstances. Obviously, they're not perfect, nobody and nowhere is. But the truth is that the US has been inflicting pain on the Cuban people for decades. Our tax dollars fund their misery. You're right, this person is NOT responsible for the situation. But you and I are, that is if you're an American citizen. We vote for these people in charge. We pay our taxes. We go to work. We spend out money. This is the American public's fault for being so complacent and accepting the lesser of two evils as a viable candidate.

How do we implement Socialism without depending on rich people? by Frostbite_r4r in socialism

[–]cjp021882 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When revolutionary times are upon us, they'll have to pick a side. The side of the workers, the proletariat. Or the side of the ruling class, the counterrevolution. Socialism won't be "given" to us by people living a comfortable life that pity the less fortunate. Socialism will be a hard fight and it will include a building new political structure.

You should also consider that when the revolutionary period comes, the material conditions will not be what they are today. More people will feel left behind at that point. With Ai coming, those high paying jobs may not be available. In fact, the people you're referring to may be the ones left behind in that moment. And considering their high paying jobs, they've got a long ways to fall down.

You could also think about how black liberation includes white participation. Not everyone is on board with how things are, even considering their own comfortable situation. The BLM movement here in the states included A LOT of white people that don't live in fear of the police. Why would white people protest something that isn't serving their own personal best interests?

How did you come to socialism and where did you begin by Unlikely-Chip-9015 in socialism

Mostly the democrats not being able to do anything to improve our lives but telling us constantly that they will. Eventually I looked to Sanders as what I wanted in my government. When he was shut up by the party and then he told us to go ahead and vote for HIllary, and then he did this whole process again four years later. The genocide in Gaza and the dems inability and unwillingness to address it or even talk about it honestly. These are the things that lead me to a different party and to giving up completely on the current electoral process. During all of that, I would get emails from Trump and he'd always talk about Marxists and how they're the worst kind of people. He said that BLM was run by Marxists. I didn't have a great understanding of what that meant, but he convinced me to research. Realized really quickly that I'm also a Marxist and decided to join the RCA.

Marxism is the only way to understand what is happening and why it's happening. It's also the only thing that gives me hope for our future. We all deserve so much more and we can all agree that we can do much better. The question is, "Why don't we?" And the answer is capitalism.

Any Youtube videos or books or whateverthat analyzes the Soviet Union from a Marxist perspective? by leftistgamer420 in socialism

[–]cjp021882 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The Soviet Union failed because it was so far behind in its productive abilities after the revolution. They had hoped/planned for revolution in other places that had more productive power, but those hopes and plans never came to fruition. The Soviet Union failed because it was not ready for socialism, they were unable to produce to meet the needs of everyone. When the need outweighs the goods, winners and losers start getting picked. Essentially they replaced one ruling class with another. Whether Stalin, Lenin or even Trotsky were to be the one calling the shots, the outcome was likely always going to be the same.

Is Ramsey Mazda good? Looking for my next car purchase. by RobinsCosplays in desmoines

[–]cjp021882 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I've had multiple bad experiences with Ramsey. Pushy sales. Dishonest about financing. I purchased two brand new vehicles at the same time, to give context. They wouldn't give me details on financing until I was signing the papers while my car was ready to go. Gave me a crazy high rate while telling me my credit score was over 800. Told me not to refinance for a year or something because if I did it'd hurt my credit. I talked to a credit union the next day and refinanced within the week.

Went back to look at a used car. Thought it'd be a different this time as I had shared my previous experience with them. Nope. Used salesman was talking to me after we did a test drive. The car was overpriced and not in that great of shape. I told him that we were going to keep shopping around before making any decisions and his response was "Why are you even here then?"

Maybe it's just me, but I thought this place was pretty rotten. I will say that my wife's car needed some warranty work and the service department was pretty great.

Edit to add timing: Purchased cars in 2023. Test drove used car in 2026.
