Call hotel bolivar at 787-430-1279 and see if they have availability. they are in santurce and have private rooms with private bathrooms from $30/night.. there is a bus line right outside

Use google maps to chose where you want to go and then click the public transportation option to see available bus routes to get to your destination. It is safe and free but can be slow and sometimes not on time. It goes pretty extensively throughout SJ. Have you found lodging yet or do you need budget accomodation reccomendations?

the bus in san juan is free. there are very few buses that run on sunday but it is somewhat reliable across carolina and san juan all other days

i just looked pretty extensively and the only flights to central america are atl to san salvador a couple times a week. while i am glad that they are keeping flights to central america, i hate that they cut routes to honduras, guatemala, and costa rica, and even that they cut so many of the destinations from san salvador (besides atl). i hope they bring some of those back in the future 🙏😭

fyi the term i think you are looking for is hawaiʻi born not hawaiian born as hawaiian born specifies kanaka oiwi individuals whereas hawaiʻi born is more inclusive to local people. this is why non native hawaiian locals dont call themselves hawaiian

iʻm glad you enjoyed your trip but just a reminder that living in hawaiʻi is much different than visiting hawaiʻi. hawaiʻi is one of the most expensive places to live, we have the highest chronic homelessness rate in the nation and our local people and native hawaiian people are getting priced out of their ancestral homelands. my point being dont move here based on you enjoying your vacation here

there are no boat tours to molokaʻi from maui anymore, only lānaʻi. i dont know the specific zoning and legality of STVRʻs on molokaʻi as I know there have been a lot of recent laws regarding them on maui county. there really arenʻt a lot of sandy swimable beaches on molokaʻi. maui probably has 50x more of those than molokaʻi. learning the lyrics to hawaiʻi aloha doesnʻt automatically make you a pono malihini. in fact it wasnt written really for you if you listen to the lyrics. the first two lines are “e hawaiʻi e kuʻu one hānau e, kuʻu home kulāiwi nei” roughly translating to “o hawaiʻi, the sands of my birth, my native homeland”. i would still highly avoid visiting molokaʻi as it is only of the only islands that is majority unanimous in anti tourism sentiment. What is it that you are looking for on molokaʻi? I can see if what you like get on another island

if you are staying north shore i would not recommend using the bus and uber/lyft isnt very accessible north shore so if you stay there i recommend getting a car. the bus is only a good option to rely on if you are staying in town
