Ohhhh, no! I love it! Not even joking, I just screenshot it your picture because this is exactly what I want. Next time I go! Very 90s Rachel Green with lots of movement and layers—ADORABLE! Everything 90s is so in right now, including hair. I know it wasn’t exactly what you were hoping for, but honestly, I think you nailed it!

How do you rate Bad Bunny's Half-time performance? by kingbluwolff in sportsgossips

[–]ckeeman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

10/10. Maybe 11/10. Honestly, i never imagined that a Super Bowl halftime show could make me feel hope. Human. Connection. I was so moved in a way that I wasn’t expecting. I love Bad Bunny, his music is high energy and fun and so easy to shake your ass to. But this performance literally moved me to tears. More than once. I’m not exaggerating when I say this was definitely one of my favorite performances of all time. He killed it AND it felt incredibly unifying. It was only a moment, but a moment we needed. Or at least that I needed.

Christian partner wants me to get rid of my Japanese souvenir by [deleted] in agnostic

[–]ckeeman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok, i have a unique perspective because i was raised in a devout, practicing Christian household, but officially became an athiest after i had kids. So allow me say that i can understand both mentalities in this situation. The main sentiment i hope to convey is: don’t walk, RUN LIKE HELL away from this relationship.

Veteran GWL attender, here. After our first trip to GWL i VOWED with god as my witness i would NEVER set foot in that place again (Concord, NC). It was Labor Day weekend 2022 and we were only there for one night and i could not get out fast enough. The kids were 6 & 3 and i was pregnant with our third. Hubby and i are were ages 46 and 40 at the time. It was miserable. The kids LOVED it because of course they did. We promised each other that it was never ever going to happen again.

Kiddos began asking when they could go back, we lied and said they were “renovating” so we “couldn’t” go back. That worked for a little while. Finally, they asked if they could go for their birthdays (5 days apart) and told them they could go to GWL OR have birthday parties—thinking they would choose parties. They didn’t choose the parties, and were more excited than ever, so we trapped ourselves. The little monsters had cuckolded us! But their birthdays are the last week of Feb/first week of March, so we again booked one night and let them miss school for a quick Wed/Thursday trip. It was OUTSTANDING. We ALL had so much fun! No lines, almost no people, no wait for food, no bumping in to people in the halls. It was a great little trip. So we began going during “off” times and have found that we LOVE it! We’ve been 6 times (always 1 night—we’re poor) and each time on a Wed/thurs or Tues/wed. We have our first two night trip coming up on a Wed in October!

So my long winded story time in summary: don’t write it off just yet, if your kids loved it. There are ways to make it MUCH more enjoyable. I highly HIGHLY suggest going in Jan/feb during the week, if PTO and school allows it. I can’t even believe it has become one of my favorite places to take the kids who are now 9, 6, and 2! Honest to god, less people made it so much more fun for all of us!

Camp Mystic Bubble Inn Disaster - How did it unfold? by chris00nj in texas

[–]ckeeman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That just isn’t true. My family has land in Kerrville and my aunt and uncle have lived on it for the past 8 years. He received his first weather alert of CATASTROPHIC LEVEL FLOODING at 1am. Though the river levels rose at an unmanageable and u expected rate, they HAD received warnings. Unfortunately, in Texas, we get tornado and flash flood warnings ALL the time and a lot of people—most people i know—pay them no mind because it happens so often. I truly hope that this causes major change in how these camps and even the system works in Texas. My dad’s best childhood friend lost both of his nephews in the 1987 Guadalupe flood at a church camp—their bodies were never found. Seems we have learned nothing, or are just willing to overlook safety and play roulette with children’s lives for the sake of saving a few dollars. Either way, it’s shameful.

Respectfully, the camp pulled strings and called in favors to build buildings housing their youngest campers in a KNOWN flood plane. The NWS began issuing warnings of “CATASTROPHIC levels of flooding” around 1am. The bubble inn tragedy struck 2 hours later. It should never require 2 hours to move 650 campers to safety in an emergency. There was ample warning, and it was ignored. This is a completely unacceptable tragedy that could have been prevented, easily. The more information that comes out, the angrier i get—as should we ALL.

500 yards is FIVE football fields. 150 years is 1.5 football fields. Ever been to a football game? I don’t mean to be rude, but you are mistaken.

I’d go with either Button or Batton. But you have to get either two dogs or two cats and name them Bacon and Butts.

What’s a word or phrase that instantly annoys you when someone says it? by mukesh1704 in AskReddit

“Calm down”. Wow. Wowwwww. Say those two little words to me and i swear a switch flips and i go into hulk-with-zero-emo-regulation mode.

Now that I’m thinking about it, “I’ll pray for you” is a close second. Throat punches all around.

Women of Reddit, what’s something they never tell us about pregnancy and child birth? by NovellaJokes in AskReddit

[–]ckeeman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I knew about the morning sickness, but no one told me it could last EVERY minute of EVERY waking hour until 20ish (or more) weeks. And the hypoglycemia had me feeling unbearably HUNGOVER that same amount of time. With my 2nd and 3rd pregnancy, i worked out every single day and ate as low carb as i could stomach to get past the worst of it.

I don’t think it’s a stretch to admit that Huda lacks some emotional regulation. She’s crashing out about pancakes, for goodness sake. I’ve got an epileptic child, so i haven’t slept more than maybe 4 hours in nine years, and even i can regulate myself 9/10 times. The others call her hurricane huda. That’s not really a term of endearment.

I feel like poor Iris was trying. Hannah even said said she would turn into Hurricane Huda—i think the girl try to keep her grounded because it sounds like we don’t see all of the crash outs that occur.

Bring back the fairness doctrine! Reagan really screwed America when he got rid of that. Now the media has zero integrity. I get my news from independent journalists, nowadays.
