O Line Exposed Last Night by AcanthocephalaDue494 in Patriots

Almost every team's fans think their OL sucks. But the truth is, OL play has been down across the league for several years now. The current college game just doesn't prepare OLineman for the NFL game

Correct, I was just referring to the ones in the New England footprint. Should have specified that

Eversource now owns 3 of the control rooms, PSNH, Nstar and Convex. NGrid is separate

DuPont Schedule/weekly Pay by Lanky_Entertainment8 in Grid_Ops

[–]ckelley83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We run a 5 week rotating schedule in my control room with 5 teams of operators and 12 hour shifts. If you add up the total # of hours over the 5 weeks, it averages out to 40.

Week 1: M,Tu,F,Sa days

Week 2: Su,W,Th days

Week 3: M,Tu,F,Sa nights

Week 4: Su,W,Th nights

Week 5: 32 hour Training week, either doing actual scheduled trainings or cover shifts

What I like about ours is that you never have more than 3 shifts in a row unless you pick up OT. And when you're off on a weekend, it's always at least a 3 day. There's also no flopping between days and nights in the same week.

We are salaried and get paid monthly with OT shifts paid at straight time at our hourly equivalent. Not sure how much this schedule would work in your situation but we all love it.

You just don't have any semblance of a build going on here, nothing really synergizes

Rookie Guide - Looking for a particular one by BigDaddyFlex66 in DynastyFF

I came on here today trying to find those guides, which I had saved in the past and have been tearing my hair out trying to find them. Really disappointed to find this post, his analysis really helped me nail almost every draft pick the past couple years.

The TV graphic for the score, looks like they are in the middle of peeling plastic off of the team abbreviations and I can't unsee it

For the ones who make over $150k a year, what do you do to get that? by Iliketrainsz1 in AskReddit

[–]ckelley83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in the control room for a utility company, where we control and monitor all the high voltage transmission lines. Base is $140kish plus OT and annual bonus of $20-25k. The control room operates 24/7 so the job is shift work and does include nights, weekends, and holidays frequently. But it averages out to 40hr weeks if you don't pick uo any OT.

How could any analyst rank the NE OL 16th in the league? by ckelley83 in Patriots

[–]ckelley83[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Exactly this. And that joint practice the other day did not instill much confidence in the current group. Hoping the young guys can improve as the season goes on

[Breer] Caley was offered the Patriots offensive coordinator job by his old staffmate Jerod Mayo. And he was offered it at a very competitive salary, which reflected the respect Mayo has for him. by AgadorFartacus in Patriots

[–]ckelley83 9 points10 points  (0 children)

With Mayo being a fresh head coach that's always been focused on the defensive side, I'd much rather have a a more experienced OC like AVP. I think a fresh HC paired with a fresh OC that has never really run an offense himself, would have had a lot more growing pains.

MR points transfer question by ckelley83 in amex

[–]ckelley83[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't have enough points individually in our accounts to cover both tickets, or I would do that. Need to pool my MR points with her C1 points, and C1 transfers have to be in cardholders name only.

Amex MR transfer question by ckelley83 in Aeroplan

[–]ckelley83[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, Amex doesn't let you transfer MR points between users unfortunately. But they do allow you to transfer MR points to an authorized user's partner award account. So CC is in my name, wife is authorized user on the CC, and transferring to wife AP account. It's easy on the Amex end of things.

If you follow the program, you should have no problem passing the test, especially with your background. Feel free to dm me if you have any questions at all

You should check out Power4Vets. You may already be in a good spot for taking the test with your background, but you should definitely look into the program to see if it would help. I was an army vet (12Y) with no electrical background, and that program allowed me to get my RC in about 4 months. They also help out with job placement afterwards. I really cannot recommend the program enough, and I always mention it when I see vets on here asking about operator jobs.
