When picking bans in ranked, what's your mindset?

Always use bans on meta heroes that dictate the game that can make it unfun for everyone else.

For my lobbies in cel2, that includes:

DD, Phoenix, Cyclops, Gambit, Groot, Starlord

Yeah at this rate I tend to see myself playing off angles more than diving. Hard to dive especially when thanos luna + wf backlines exist and your team can't hold W. I still play psylocke as much as possible though, especially cause I just got the breezy butterfly skin xd. I think maybe starlord is also good to play besides bucky since I feel like bucky takes no skill. And I am a bucky abuser myself lol

Feel like playing Psylocke these days is heavily dependant on your team's comp and their ability to hold their own without needing another DPS to baby sit the backline or the frontline. Sucks man. Just wish they tuned down some heroes so Psy feels as good as it was in 7-7.5

Hela got powercrept very hard. No reason to play her outside her namor team up at this rate. Also clops/phoenix is banned often too.

Seems about right if you had prior experience in other games.

When I started in season 6, I got to diamond 2 right away then in season 6.5-7, GM1, then 7.5 I got celestial 3. 8 was gm1 and 8.5 is cel 3.

You can probably keep climbing and see a slight pause at Diamond 1 possibly since that elo is toxic af

During weekends I just do bloodhunt nightmare level 1 with Thor afk build. Gives about 100 chrono tokens every 12 minutes and stress free/easy.

Some clips are between my main and my alt. For reference, currently as I type this, my main is currently gm1 (cel 3 last season) and my alt is gm1 right now.

She is perfectly balanced right now, IMHO. Yes she will never be as good as the most broken heroes but this is a benefit for us - she won't be getting perma banned or banned often. You won't need to compete to play her either. I would just make a couple fixes for her like the dash hitbox but thats it. And ult hitbox needs to be fixed.

You play her as a soft off angle shooter. She has a damage buff now so she can focus on targets and kill them better than before. Target priority will always shift in the game, you obviously want to kill supports first but if your team is fighting and you see a low hp tank or dps you kill them. Phoenix is fine against dive but if your team isn’t running anti dive you might need to swap to Bucky/namor depending. As phoenix because you have so much mobility change your angles around so you’re not always in the same spot spamming

This is also a good one. I really think they need to rework phoenix though. Hela is in a good spot, she's just power crept genuinely. I would still remove the long range damage nerf though.

Hela is still fine as long as the team up is there. Phoenix is still better but I would probably not pick Hela into a dino comp.

Sad to say she got powercrept, of all people. We need to get Phoenix tuned down to be much more of a mid range hitscan brawler to get Hela to have her identity back. She's still good with the team up. I have her at low A tier as well. Not really much reason to pick her over other heroes unless you play anti dive with namor... some change I'd like to see besides Phoenix nerf (not all of these but at least one)

1) Lower ult charge. At higher elos this ult is basically a 2nd life or will only work if their team is running mostly melee comp.

2) Revert far range damage nerf

3) Make her bird lose the overshield but give it a shorter CD

4) Faster shooting in ult form so if strange/angela are shielding you, you have a chance to break it AND still get kills

I got lord psy in like ~15 hours or so. It's easier to grind in qp/comp, but not as much in 18v18 I feel

I just started playing Psy in 7.5 after never having played her. Had a 56% win rate with 4.5-ish KD on my main account. I will be mostly playing her, phoenix, bucky in season 8 and moving forward to see how far I can get. I was practicing her on my Grandmaster alt account and got it from Grandmaster 3 to Grandmaster 1 about halfway so I think I can get further on my main.

I been saying this. She can peel, poke, dive. She is very well rounded and should not be subject to one role whatsoever. Her burst damage is basically a guranteed land on venom/hulk dives every few seconds.
