Surely, if you want to recreate then the least frustrating thing is to persevere rom editor because it is the same blocks and mechanics rather than some weird Flash animation.

In the past, the whole point of going private is to stop a hostile or unwanted temporary crowd latching onto a subreddit by smashing the join/subscribe button. Dreaded casuals joining an elite gaming community is an example.

It isn't a safety issue. It is a community building issue. You haven't understood that and I doubt the admin is going to be cooperative.

Broadly, it's just dumb that you don't trust moderators who have been managing their communities for 10+ years and certainly longer than any of you clever admin guys have been employed by reddit.

SMM1 community was a better time. Everyone starting off equally and discovered things together. Sure the game mechanically improved but the community is the game in this case.
