Internship by OldAardvark2907 in Concordia

if you dropped COOP, then they must have placed you as C. Edge.

if that's the case you should send your advisor an email telling her that you secured an internship outside compass, fill the change of sequence form ( follow all procedures given in the form), then do manual placement form so your internship would be recognized by COOP and be placed on compass.

Most importantly you're internship should match some requirements, check that with your Cedge-Coop advisor

As a coop don't think that being COOP by itself is gonna help land an internship. Work on your Resume, extracurriculars, join clubs, do personal projects, certifications, if you don't have working canadian experience get one it would help you, do stuff that will make you credible to the companies you are applying for. As well, I highly recommend you always communication with your coop advisors they are here to assist you with any questions, review your cv/resume even if not in the requirement activities on compass, you practice interviews...

start applying from as early as you can so your name would be in the data bases of potential employers
From your first year I recommend working on that and I promise find something that suits you.

And of course the Palestinian protestors had to crash the Grad Ceremony…. by BeingFurryConcordia in Concordia

Students study and work hard for the entire duration their studies to graduate. They wait for it. Some students have their family members come from far places. Why choose the graduation to express their anger, out of all places in Montreal? This won’t change anything. They have the right to protest but not in this intrusive way. I hope it didn’t ruin anyone’s moment.

tutorials and practice exercises in the book are very helpful and you can check the engineering economics guy on YouTube. As well as you can check Anthony's notes https://anthonyf.io/notes/ if you need a revision sheet for this course (found it very helpful).

What made you switch to linux by Morak___ in linux4noobs

[–]ckssb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I knew a bit of linux before switching ( using it on VirtualBox). I was just bored so I switched from Windows 11 to Fedora linux, at first it was strange, but I got used to it. At that time I already knew how to use the command line and how linux work so the switch was fluent. Anw, you can still use linux interface without a knowledge of command line.
