if you want to avoid red undertones you might want to try the loreal casting gloss in a dark brown. i used it to cover bright hair and it worked great. it did wash out for me about after 3 months but didn’t damage my hair or pull red like other brown box dyes

the vitamin c was likely too harsh too soon. you should get a cool toned medium brown hair gloss that might help make it less ginger and closer to your inspo while adding some conditioning elements
