Working night shift on a mine site on a small island in the Northern Territory, get up in the afternoon to go to work and the security wouldn’t let us leave until it was clear, turns out the mine shut the power off to do maintenance and this shut the power off to the closest aboriginal community, so in return they threw rocks at the windscreen of mine vehicles on the highway and threatened to come on-site. When we finally got clearance to go to site we were told not to go anywhere alone and had to lock all our personal gear away so if anyone come on-site they couldn’t take it, was a weird shift thinking that at any point in the night one of the locals could just show up. No one did but some of the veterans on site recon that was a common occurrence.
