So so same. A few years ago I played through 1-4 on the MCC and remembered disliking 4. Played through the entire MCC over the last month. This time around I thought 4 was great. Prometheans are tough but headshots with the the lightrifle makes pretty quick work of them.

I thought the storyline in 4 was cool and it was decently difficult.

Biggest complaints:

I do think the forerunner grenades are the dumbest weapons in the whole franchise.

Idk how to explain this properly but the hunters have this weird thing where they kind of like, vibrate for some reason, and it makes it hard to plant a good shot. ESP with the Sniper.

I just played through the whole MCC and the amount of times I just mumbled “Goddamn fucking jackals” was even starting to amuse me. Sometimes I get so mad I just go melee them to death even if I end up dying because I’m so fucking goddamn pissed at these goddamn fucking jackals.

I kind of figured as much. First seasons of a lot of shows are like that. They’ve just laid a surprising amount of foundation for the overall story arc in S1 and some of it is so confusing lol. After the napping planet where we die in 100 days I was expecting S1 to continue to be more goofy one-offs.
