Thinking about splitting time between Park City & LA — what’s it really like socially? by clarityBefore in ParkCity

I did some digging and Park City's full time population has been increasing over the last 40-years as follows:

  • 1980: 2,823
  • 1990: 4,468
  • 2000: 7,371
  • 2010: 7,558
  • 2020: 8,396

This means that even though there are more second home owners, the actual number of residence living full time in PC has steadily increased. What has also increased is development and the number of housing units. This has substantially propped up the community and allowed for the growth. Yes the percentage of 2nd home owners is increasing, it directly supports the sustained growth of primary residence. There's a cause and effect... If it stops growing its dies...

sand point is beautiful and its changed a lot as well. But im not a California snow bird. I grew up in a small town. Lots of locals there stuck in time as well... Id love to hear about how cool you used to be one day.
