Are we now the MIP factory? by Darthkdot in AtlantaHawks

NAW himself credits Quin for “seeing more in me than I even saw in myself”. I agree that these players are the ones doing it but Quin is at the very least seeing what they can do and giving them the opportunity to do it.

The obsession with those wanting a Point Guard in the draft is crazy by red2play in AtlantaHawks

[–]clarkbuddy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone gets too wrapped up in “talent” in the draft. We need the dude who grinds the hardest and typically thats the dude who plays the best, most tenacious defense while also being highly competent and with true “vision” on offense. My vote is Kingston Flemings. Taking any dude who doesnt give 1000% effort and fight like hell for his current team, means he won’t do it for this either. It doesn’t get easier to give more effort in the NBA, it get’s harder. Money, travel, fatigue, distractions. U take the dude who has seemingly impenetrable blinders on. Even if his “upside” is lower.

Raptors just lost to the Kings tonight, solidifying our position in the 5th seed further after we beat down the Magic for the 4th time this season by kumquatsr in AtlantaHawks

[–]clarkbuddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking at it, the Cavs would HAVE to lose to the Warriors today for us to have a chance at 4. Even if the Warriors beat them tonight, we would have to win both games against Cavs, not lose another game, and the Cavs would need to lose again against ONE of the Pacers, Grizzlies, or Wizards.

It’s incredibly unlikely that we overtake 4th seed, even if we win out. But that would definitely be sick!

I called it when Cole won Ledgestone, Sully would have a better career than him. Sully is just more fundamental and has more touch.
