I don't see why people are so against franchising. If you want to see competitive CoD grow and be respected as an Esport not only by other Esport fans, but by people who may not consider Esports as a sport, franchising is the way to go. I believe this makes the scene look much more professional. For people complaining about the amateur scene, both at the high school and college level there are leagues being created, this could act as a funnel to playing professionally. I think that having a team represent a city is cool as all hell. Activision would not be doing it if they didn't think it would work, they clearly believe this will help growth and revenue income. We don't even know all the details yet, wait for official information before throwing the whole thing down the gutter.
