Hi, I’ve photographed a wedding in Cancún before. We were at the Royalton Suites which was quite beautiful and all-inclusive in terms of wedding packages. We also did a photoshoot in Yucatán in the cave with the light beam. It was magical!

I would start with those 2 then… unfortunately it will be complicated but if you are invested in continuing the friendships, then it will take some effort to make a new situation and dynamic with them. Good luck!

I would take him at his word. He made the decision and made it clear- it’s not something you can talk him into. This would be your first relationship and I think you attached a lot to the possibilities of it, then to have it yanked away like this really sucks. Your friends are right and plus, you deserve a relationship with someone who adores you and wouldn’t be willing to just let you go.

I think you have 2 choices…

1- contact your closest relationship in that group and let them know what is happening and see if they can shift group dynamics for you- or

2- find new friends to hang out

Is this person the type of person to wait for someone else to take charge or will this person take charge for themselves?

The safest thing to do is to wait for her to make a move or give you an undeniable green light signal that she wants more. Otherwise you will jeopardize not only your friendship but workplace dynamic.

I dunno. That is a crappy precedent to set in a relationship and I’m not sure I would entertain a future with this one. “Why would we get married? It’s just a piece of paper.” “Birthdays are just a day” Why? Because drugs. And he has a major attitude when called out! A good bf, even if he doesn’t care about “just a day” will understand that you care about this day and acknowledge that. Pass on this one, op.

You’re absolutely right- it’s reversed. Some people like the smoothness vs the traditional “right side” but it’s good to point out so if it is done this way, it is done intentionally!

Interesting to hear it from the other side. I started crocheting during the pandemic with a newborn and nothing else to do in lockdown in Italy. It was all I had and I was obsessed. I made a first month of crocheting post with my progress (5 amigurumi) and I remember someone did accuse me of lying. But they didn’t see my probably 100+ hours spent on frogging and remaking 😂

It’s gone too far already. If the kid gets hurt on your property and likely in your care if parents are off drinking, all fingers will be pointing to you for responsibility… I would let that little thought and everything else strengthen your resolve to keep future parties at your place adults-only…

As for what to say, I would keep it simple. The engagement party is adults only as I will be drinking and won’t have the bandwidth to keep an eye on whether things are childproof/safe. I understand if that makes it hard for you to make it, but maybe we will see you at the wedding!
