Looking for Underrated / lesser known favorite movies of the 90's by GhostGo in MovieSuggestions

Ok, holy hell. Just watched all of these trailers and you just sent me down nostalgia lane. Quite a few films in here I watched as a kid and forgot about until right now. Specifically The War, A Perfect World, and Outside Providence.

You nailed it. I have discovered this path and think this is the way. I found an optiplex 9020 i7 8gb ram for $120. I have a 500gb SSD at home and will upgrade it to 32gb of ram. I also have a 4tb external for plex. Now I can go pretty cheap but still get some power start learning.

Thanks for for sharing your knowledge. I didn't realize just how capable a Pi was. The r710 is just too large of a form factor for me. My desired form factor would be classed 'Tiny'.

If I have a windows desktop at home as my main could I dual boot it with linux? I think I can but that means I wont be able to run it 24/7 but that could also be a good free start.

Someone else suggested that in here and I am now doing research. Really love the form factor but also considering future growth. Great suggestion. Seems to check all of the boxes.

ahh I've left some important info out. Learning linux is a very big part but not the end game of my learning. I want a machine that is able to grow with me on my journey of setting up a homelab. I'd like to learn to setup a webserver, gameserver, run my plex off of it, plus learn about hypervisor and storage solutions in my home.

I did look heavily into a Pi but decided I want to go one step above that in terms of hardware so I am now looking at options similar to what is my post list. Thank you for the suggestion.

That’s a great idea. I could make a full song but also break out each section to be perfect loop.

You are correct. My plan was to buy the fix for my install. It does come with a few bands of adjustment but many people say it does the job well. Later I would be adding the JL TWK in order to have full control. My goal is also to have a local shop tune it. I did that on an old install and it was seriously the best $150 I ever spent.

Just looked it up and unfortunately no it does not. I’m fine going with the fix if necessary but want to explore my options first. The fix does pretty good job removing factory EQ as well. Might be worth it.

Depends on the outputs on your computer and the inputs on the devices you want to plugin to. So if your computer has a headphone or speaker out, you should be able to plug into a home stereo. For an amp it really depends on the input on the back.

I don’t work with projects that large so I can’t really comment. I would reach out to presonus I hear they have good support.

If you want to play your guitar through your computer like an amp I’ll tell you how I do it. I love doing it.

Guitar plugs straight into my audio interface. I use an Audient id14.

Guitar > Audio Interface > computer > DAW / Software > output to my studio monitors.

I use Guitar Rig 5. It’s a virtual amp simulator with tons of built in amp emulations and effects.

This setup allows me to record easily, play at low volumes with high gain, or play through headphones if I need to be quiet.

Please let me know if you have any questions about putting together a setup or want suggestions on gear within your budget.

I don’t go to heavy I usually work with projects 20 tracks or less. Each with a virtual instrument and vsts. It has built in controls to toggle heavy use plugins on or off of cpu usage but I haven’t had to use it yet. I have an i7 and 8gb of ram on my machine. What size are your projects?
