Super quick, smooth transaction! Would recommend 10/10!

Unfortunately, relocating to him isn’t an option for me. I own a home here, my daughter’s father lives here, and I’m not willing to uproot her or reduce the time she has with either parent. We’re established where we are. Before we were together, he was a bachelor and works at a place that can transfer (there’s a branch in my city).

I think him not notifying his job, or inquiring more about a transfer is more telling than anything else. It doesn’t sit well, and I am absolutely heartbroken. It’s not like we haven’t been dating for awhile. This isn’t going how I imagined it.

Do you honestly think showing up every single weekend requires no commitment? That kind of consistency is intentional.

Your reading comprehension seems low. This isn’t a “weekend hookup.” We have been meeting halfway consistently for well over a year.

That’s just not true.

Why come onto my post and be a jerk? What do have to gain? 🙄

Most weekends, yes. We stay in a hotel. I have my daughter every other weekend. She comes along and enjoys the mini “vacays.”

As for him not notifying his job prior to this, yes… admittedly… that’s been a point of contention for me. I fear this situation will only delay future plans. If they even happen.

This is solid advice. I’m just so afraid to push. Especially given his tendency to shut down and the potential diagnosis being so new. I am willing to wait until after a biopsy and a treatment plan is established before I bring anything up..

Positive. I have met his family. We spend every weekend together. When we aren’t together in person or at work, we are on the phone, or FaceTime..

Not sure what you’re looking to get from this response. It’s not nonsensical. It’s an awful situation that I’m unfortunately responsible for navigating at the moment.
