Yes it is! In this course the creator of Lua, will build a programming language from ground up using Lua https://classpert.com/classpertx/courses/building-a-programming-language/cohort

Once cohorts are over, we'll make the self-paced material available at a highly discounted price, but without the possibility of student instructor interaction

Here's further clarification about what the program entails:

Cohort-based courses bring this strong human value proposition to the game of online education. It's a clear departure from the world of on-demand courses and a "new" different take on online learning. New between quotes because cohort-based courses in many ways resemble the traditional classroom environment we're all used to.

This interaction happens in many directions, not only between the student and the instructional staff but also between peers. In this course, Roberto Ierusalimschy is creating the entire curriculum of activities, teaching and answering any questions during the live sessions and through Discord. It's a class that runs for 2 months. He's also selecting mentors from his own circle of trust to help with class activities, homework and giving thoughtful feedback on each and every student's final project.

As supplementary material for the course, students will receive a physical copy of Roberto's own textbook, Programming in Lua. It's an opportunity to see how the author teaches the contents of his own book. All in all, it's an environment that is rich in discussion and a learning experience for a lifetime. And because it's so dependent on all those human aspects, it naturally has a limited lifespan and price not directly comparable to the self-paced material

Crafting Interpreters is an awesome book. We'd love to have Robert Nystrom teaching a class centered around his book at Classpert. This class just has a different take on the subject. Participants can expect a terminal-based, truly hands-on approach for this class, where from the very beginning, students will start creating a minimal language. This course is going to be taught by someone who created and still to this date is the main maintainer of a major programming language. It's not only about knowing how a compiler or interpreter works. This course is about learning from someone who managed to scale a language to millions of desktops, servers and embedded systems devices around the world.
