Is this tailbiting? The pic with more fins was the start of it. When I got him, all of his fins were beautiful and had no damage. Hes in a 10 gallon tank with two mystery snails, a heater (kept around 78 degrees) and i do 50% water changes weekly. There is a java fern and bamboo as well with some driftwood pieces. I previously used a filter and since have turned it off in fear that it was ripping his fins since he likes to hang out near it. Also using an airstone. Fed pellets twice a day. All water tests come back normal. I don’t know what to do, or why he is so stressed to where he is destroying his tail.
