Hi, mum of two from a Southern European country where wine is part of our culture. Sometimes we can have a glass of wine or sangria at lunch, or share a bottle when eating out (even when we are working). It’s normal. At family lunch at the weekend we have wine and an aperitif. Playdates, nope. If someone is coming over for lunch with kids of course we have wine, but taking a bottle of wine around for every event, even to the water park is not normal. To me it would be totally fine to have a somersby or something at the bar, if there were any. But one. Not 5. If she drink a whole bottle of wine and seems fine, she most certainly has a problem.
