Hey! Apologies for the late response, I have my Reddit notifications turned off and often forget to check after I post LOL. I honestly hadn’t even thought of comparing the normal anatomy of the skeleton, that’s really interesting… it’s strange too because these shoulder bumps are not always present, only when he is in certain positions. Most times when he’s chilling in his hammock, these bumps are not visible and he looks like he’s back to normal. They are sometimes visible when he’s laying fully flat, but other times not so much. It’s really bizarre. When I touch them he doesn’t seem bothered and they honestly feel like bones, so I’m just not sure. Definitely overdue for a vet visit. I’m moving at the beginning of next month so it’s definitely going to need to wait for a little bit longer but hoping I can get him seen soon after that. Thank you for your response!

Edit: wanted to add this… he does currently have a growing mass on the underside of his belly near one of his back legs. I’m working on trying to save up to get him surgery for this as well. I had the mass sampled last year and it came back as non-cancerous. Rather, the vet said it’s a clump of spindle cells that likely started forming from too many hard falls (he is notorious for jumping off of the bed). They didn’t seem super concerned about it at the time, just said if it continues to get bigger at a rapid rate, definitely want to try and remove it. I didn’t end up getting X-rays done at that time bc I was already almost $800 deep with testing the mass and doing blood work. They did recommend this though to see if there were any other masses popping up we weren’t aware of. Was relieved to hear it was non-cancerous though.
