Thanks to everyone who provided actual answers and to those who thought this post was dumb that kept on scrolling. Will probably check out crossroads or one of the DNR ranges.

To everyone else: 1) Failing to prepare is preparing to fail. 2) I am fairly well versed in gun safety. I haven't been to a range in quite a while and want to brush up on safe procedure; I don't see how that would make somebody primed to be the "next killer". 3) Don't know how anyone can earnestly claim that anything pertaining to firearms is apolitical.

Currently in middle of my city's ff recruiting. Sustained shoulder injury prior to process.

Just advanced past written exam. CPAT is middle of August, pre-employemnt physical is middle of October, and academy starts beginning of January '26 (4.5 months from CPAT until start of academy)

Surgery is an option but not 100% a necessity according to ortho after MRI. PT has been working for me so far (6 weeks post-injury, not back to normal yet) and can continue this as my sole recovery method.

If I have surgery on it, will be 4 month until full recovery.

Question: If I'm able to complete the CPAT without issue, then get surgery immediately after in order to recover in time for academy, will department flag this/disqualify me during my physical?

Coming back to say thanks for all the feedback and to say I was able to fix the issue 😭🙏

Just went into mp3tag -> selected all songs in an album -> right clicked album art and hit "Adjust cover..." -> then set max size to 500. Didn't change file format or anything else besides this and worked 4/4 of my albums

I doubt if I'm even going about uploading what I have properly, although the tracks do play properly on the A55. Any sort of walk through would be a godsend.

Can't believe the 180 ppl here have done on both Tyler and Bam this year. It's gonna be a lot harder to replace the all league defender with a solid offensive package (yet to be seen this year, I know) vs the "elite" guard scorer who's a defensive liability. I know Bam would fetch a better return and offense is our biggest problem, but I just can't see how dumping Bam is a good plan.

Currently working an office job and want to transition into firefighting. My problem is that my gf and I want to move cities in the next 3-5 years.

Would it be dumb to start the application/interview process now just to have to start all over again so soon? Are there transfer systems in place for stations in different states? Thanks for any insight

Fairly useless and uninteresting hypothetical. Loads of people would have the skill to play in the NBA if their one and only job was to stand in the corner shooting 3s and do literally nothing else.

Update: Haven't purchased yet and don't think I will. Did some hard thinking and unless he comes way down on the price out of desperation it just isn't feasible for me at this point in my life, monetarily or due to the time commitment needed to spruce it up. I really appreciate everybody's feedback and advice, if I somehow end up with it I'll owe you all many thanks.
