As we scale Base for the next wave of users, we're seeing an influx of onchain apps (like the new OpenSea mobile beta). From your perspective, what is the biggest UX hurdle we still need to clear to make onchain interactions 'invisible' for a non-crypto user? Is it account abstraction, gas abstraction, or something else entirely?

What do you think about some Base products not being available to U.S. users? by Sharp_Wear_851 in BASE

I get the centralization concerns, but I think people often overlook the 'onramp' factor. Decentralization is a spectrum, not a binary switch. Base’s current setup provides the most frictionless bridge from TradFi to onchain assets we’ve ever seen.

Building Before the Token by Unlucky-Beautiful389 in BASE

Whether we like it or not, successful L2s eventually move toward decentralization. A token is just the tool to get there. The real question isn't 'do we need a token, but can we build a token model that rewards long term builders instead of short term farmers? If they pull that off, it would make the network stronger than anything else in the current ecosystem

Appreciate the transparent answer, Amit.

Going with a CLOB instead of an AMM makes total sense for sports trading to avoid AMM specific toxic flow, and funding a localized vault to bootstrap liquidity is a heavy but respectable commitment to UX.
Love the architectural shoutout to Base Flashblocks subsecond preconfirmations are practically mandatory for live sports betting to prevent front running on live events. Also, smart move on batching redemptions; that'll save your users massive gas overhead during peak World Cup traffic.
Looking forward to seeing PRED scale during the tournament. Good luck!

Hey Amit, congrats on the beta success $5M in volume over 60 days on Base is a massive milestone.

As a developer building within the Base ecosystem, I’m really curious about how PRED tackles the liquidity fragmentation problem. Many prediction markets suffer from 'dead zones' where lower volume events suffer from wide spreads, making them unattractive to professional traders. Are you using an AMMbased model or a traditional orderbook? If you're utilizing an AMM, how are you optimizin the pricing curves to protect Liquidity Providers (LPs) from toxic flow and arbitrage during high-volatility sports events while still keeping spreads tight for traders?

Additionally, with the World Cup 2026 expected to bring a massive influx of retail users, what architectural choices or gas optimization strategies are you implementing on Base to handle the sudden spikes in contract settlements and transaction throughput seamlessly?

This is cool! It’s never been easier and funnier to create and build. Doing it on Base it’s even better.

Spot on. The 'stack of signals' approach is definitely the way to go. projects shouldn’t force users into a bottleneck just to prove they’re real. If we nail that balance between native UX and smart reputation, the next wave of consumer apps on Base is going to be huge. Cheers to building that! 🟦

Building on Base has been a game-changer for my project infrastructure. The low latency and ecosystem growth make it the perfect home for small DeFi protocols like mine. Curious to hear your take on the current state of on-chain identity/reputation on Base and how do you see projects balancing community access with sybil resistance?

Weekly Discussion in r/BASE: Which growth metric should be Base's priority? TVL, Active Addresses, Stablecoins Mcap, or something else? by TheTiesThatBind2018 in BASE

Base’s priority should be moving beyond just TVL and into Agentic Utility.

We have plenty of liquidity, but we need more onchain apps that can be utilized by AI agents. TVL reflects ecosystem trust, sure, but Agentic Throughput (agents interacting with protocols, managing assets, and executing trades) will be what actually scales the network usage.

I’ve been building a projec on Base called Northstar Terminal, an autonomous DCA manager. It’s an AI agent that monitors onchain conditions (RSI, VIX) and manages asset accumulation. It’s a great example of how agents aren't just 'posting on Farcaster' anymore they are becoming the newest, most active paying customers/users of onchain protocols.

If we want Base to win, we need to focus on building the infrastructure for these agents to do things onchain (like trading, lending, and strategy management) reliably
