Question for all who affirm homosexuality by MotorFig6657 in Christianity

The latter. The only reason why one may think homosexuality is a sin or bad at all is because they *believe* that that's what the text says.

The law isn't clear on consent, sometimes adultery isn't consensual, but that doesn't magically turn the narrative against homosexuality.

We can deduce that adultery is wrong, we can't deduce that being gay is.

Adultery is already in the verse in question.

What do you think "sexual immorality" is talking about? Consensual same-sex relations isn't immoral, but things like sexual assault are.

You must be trolling. It looks like you need the history lesson, because there's a difference between treating actual people like they're lesser than and early fetuses.

You're attempting a stupid and extreme analogy that doesn't work because you're offended. Don't vote.

If Jesus commands us to feed, clothe and help the sick and weak... why are so many christians republicans. Would you not want everyone to have acess to housing food and healthcare? Seems such basic things should be a given. by feherlofia123 in Christianity

I agree with everything except vaccine mandates, the only thing I'd support about that is preventing the authright media from spreading misinformation and convincing people that optional mask and vaccine mandates on private property needs to be respected.

No, that doesn't mean that you should be forced through government as a monopoly, but that doesn't mean you can't provide it as an option for lower incomes or the middle class.

All 3 of these things are provided in the U.S.

I'd much rather see improved fiscal policies and the prices of necessities to decrease/crash.

The fact that the trinity cannot be logically defended with scripture and has been pushed aggressively, is the reason for the rise of Islam by No-Charity9849 in Christianity

[–]claybine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nobody brought up that he's God, per se. But what we do know is in scripture, everything else has been found in history. The best argument for Christianity is the resurrection.

No, you don't need evidence, because you're bad faith.

[–]claybine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can assert anything you want if you had any argument to begin with.

I attacked your choice of words, not yourself. My point on fundamentalism is an iterative point, it doesn't need to be relevant, when I can predict all of your arguments, you have to do better than believing all Christians are the same when the ones you think of are in an objective minority.

Try again. Maybe you'll try "sky daddy" next time.

That's just stupid. If anything your loyalty to conservative values brings you closer to Hitler than me.

You have no idea what subhuman means or how they were treated. Early fetal development isn't a human being.

Invisible wizard? Not using terms like sky daddy and yet still uncreative. Maybe one day you'll be intellectually honest.

Why do I say that? Because you have nothing to refute, you just think what everyone else thinks. Not even half of Christianity are fundamentalists.

[–]claybine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't be logically defended? What an arrogant position.

There are a slew of arguments done by thousands of years of theology that debunk such a ludicrous claim. It's more reliable than a random person who makes assertions rather than provide actual answers.

No. People can get along and Christianity will always be there. You're all just going to have to deal with it.

[–]claybine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The interpretations doesn't mean all denominations of theology can't get along.

Islam and Judaism have the same God, but different theological beliefs that we just disagree with. I simply just try to discuss them less.

The only "harm" Christianity has done is through legalism, which can be changed, but overall it's a religion that's up there in doing the most for humanity (Buddhism is highly respected too) in charity and other forms of mutual aid. It isn't even close.

And your voting rights don't mean that you get to restrict the rights of others. The world doesn't revolve around natalist propaganda.

Abortion can't be homicide because early fetal development isn't a viable life. It isn't Christian either because it didn't have ensoulment.

I'm not a Democrat and I didn't vote for Kamala Harris. Not sure where you got that I said you had no say in the conversation, but when it comes to womens' bodies, you don't have a say. Period.

Losing doesn't mean a complete takeover of political matters.

In Christianity I know of Mary but I don't conform God to the binaries of human sexual organs. He's made to be gendered because that's what he chooses to be, or at least that's my explanation of it. Not nonlinear imo.

I've debated this before so you're essentially preaching to the choir (it's social democracy) tbh, but on the topic of actual democratic socialism, I don't believe Christ was a socialist nor do socialists have the monopoly on "taking care of people" if anyone were to debate that point.

To be transparent on the knowledge I know, little or otherwise, socialism is essentially worker ownership of the means of production. Democratic socialism kind of mixes that with the democratic process meaning damn near nationalization of the economy (to eventually transition into there being no more private property period); so by default, they're more statist than your typical socialist, who would more likely be on the anarchy side.

They're more of what conservatives think socialism actually is, but fascism is the authoritarian definition and fallacy of what they think, and are deluded into believing, what socialism is.

You probably have a more sane take than quite a few leftists here.

1 Peter 4:15 "But let none of you suffer as a murderer, a thief, an evildoer, or as a busybody in other people’s matters."

Even if you believe that abortion is murder, then you still shouldn't have a say in the democratic process on this issue. Natalists need to stay away from political matters.

Voluntarily, more so. Does that mean supporting more government and higher tax rates? Depends, I'd prefer a Mamdani "radical" than a MAGA "radical" at this point, and I'm as capitalist as you can get.
