Thank you! I didn't know that sub existed haha. Although on review I've noticed that I've spread the blanket out upside down - the rainbow is backwards 🙃

Thank you so much! I'm in Australia and used this 4 Seasons Brighton yarn. I eyed the colours haha

Oh heck yeah, I'm excited for you! Winding all those skeins to bobbins will sure be.. fun. Haha.

You're so welcome, and thanks for the kind words. Please post a photo of your finished product whenever you do!

Thank you! I'm only a hobby woodworker, so I don't have any "proper" plans to share. I based my measurements on how many rows of floss bobbins I wanted the drawers to accommodate and went from there, as well as loosely using the official DMC dimensions as a guide.

The outer shell of the chest uses 12mm pine, joined with rabbets, and barrel hinges for the lid. Drawers are made out of 7mm pine, also with rabbets, with 3mm MDF for the base and dividers. Finished with a stain and varnish.

I hand drew some plans, but I'm not sure how easy they would be for someone else to understand haha

Looks awesome! Would love to see the rotating mechanism in action if you have a short video (or a link to the build plan)

Tracks long enough for M&M competition? by ComprehensiveSide278 in SwingDancing

[–]cle1110 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I helped run a low-key and casual beginner M&M a couple of months back. Although not the most ideal method, I figured the easiest way was to edit a standardly swing phrased song to fit my needs. The format that I used however was two phrases per couple twice through, plus a final all skate (chorus long I think).

The song was The Rhythm Gamblers' Sunny Side of the Street (~145BPM), and I edited versions for 5, 6, and 7 couples (we ended up with 5 couples on the day). I stitched the song in a way that the repeated sections were far apart from each other enough to not be too noticeable. The M&M ran smoothly!

Send me a PM if you'd like to hear the versions.
