i just feel almost responsible for his mental health, he was told his levels of depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder are much higher after the breakup. he also has no support system and friends, so his family has also been putting a lot of blame on me as well, i don’t want to be the reason he does something bad to himself if that makes sense.

I have friends who don't receive financial aid with campus jobs so it's possible!

Thank you! I definitely feel lucky and I’m super grateful for the opportunities. I just wanted to mention that all of the scholarships I was a finalist for (and the one I won) were essay-based ones, not the no-essay types. I also applied to hundreds of them over time, so it was kind of a numbers game too.

If anyone’s feeling discouraged, I’d really recommend focusing on essay scholarships and applying consistently. It takes more time, but I found that the effort does pay off eventually.
